How can i get protect write off my camera

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I bought an fe-120 camera

It should at least start up no matter what kind of batteries you put in. Sounds like you bought a "dud". Hope you didn't pay too much for it.

Hi I am soooo annoyed with

Sounds like you've been taking pictures with no card in the camera so all of your pics are on the camera's internal memory. This is the cause of so many problems that I cannot begin to tell you some of the stories I've heard. You need to get a memory card. Then, you can go into the menu of the camera and find "copy" which will give you the option to copy the internal memory to the card. After you download the pics from the card, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory and then promise to never use it again.

Trying to download photos from

It sounds like you already know better than to reformat the card whether on the camera on on the computer, for you will for sure loose all the pictures. A couple of steps you can try;
- try another card
- try using the cable that came with the camera to connect the camera to the computer, this will at least enable you to get those pictures saved before loosing them
- try a different card reader, while they do seem fairly simple I've encountered some work for some cards better than others. it can be a cheap one, just another one.
- make sure your battery is fully charged and that the camera was stored in a dry place (humidity has been known to start wreaking havoc in the internal workings of a digital camera, even the humidity from a warm closet/garage)
- if all else fails, contact Teleplan Camera Repair they will be able to assist and repair.

Olympus x-785 digital camera is not identified by my pc

Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. Sounds like you may need to reinstall the device driver for the camera. The camera uses the driver usbstor.

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to memory/format- right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear all the images from the card and then it can be used again.

Flash mode locked to Off

Try this, I had the same problem. Here is what I did, I powered off the camera then with the menu button pressed I turned the camera on. This must set the camera back to default settings. I was then able to turn my flash to auto or any other selection.

Downloading photos back to my camera from my pc

Is you camera recognised as 'and additional drive' when it is plugged into the computer ?

If so - copy the pictures from your hard drive as normal, and paste into the 'camera' as if it were a USB stick.

OR

Does your camera have a standalone memory card (I would imagine it does) - can you take this out, and put it into a card reader . . again - just copy and paste (I have NEVER transferred files direct from my camera, and neither would I recommend it)

I get a blue screen and it says picture error

A camera that consistently causes errors on memory that worked before being installed is probably suffering from a board level issue. If the camera is under warranty I would definitely send it in to the manufacturer to be fixed. If it is out of warranty this is an extremely hard problem to track down, and probably would require a new circuit board which may very well cost as much as a new camera. It is possible that the problem lies with the connection between the camera's circuit board and the memory card slot. This is an option, but it is only one of many explanations all pertaining to the electronic components inside the camera. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

It keeps turning off

This usually means the batteries are almost dead. If rechargeable types, they can no longer hold a charge. If the batteries are fresh, try another set newly purchased.

I have Olympus FE330 and the Power button stuck in the depressed position and it turns the camera on and off.

First you need to get the button out. But if it is defect (I think it is) that won't help. Did you try to find out what is keeping the button in the depressed position? is it possible there is some dirt around the knob? Something you can remove?I don't think it is worth bringing it to a service center. If they need one hour to repair it will cost twice a new camera of that class. So when you can't get the know out, I think you should start saving up for a new camera.

Camera picture distorted Olympus fe -340 8.0 5xzoom

Could it be you changed something in the settings? Can you see the scene in a normal way before shooting? then it look to me the sensor an the camera have to be good. It is to much to tell you how, because you have to look that up in the manual, but, please try to set the camera in auto mode, because is you did set to in the scene mode, and than chose blurry background, or shooting through glass that could cause the distortion. I put the link for the manual down here, in case you can't find yours. Start at page 6 to see how to shoot in automatic. Be aware if you shoot ready shot (anti shake) on a tripodthe pictures will be blurred to. http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/FE-320_X-835_C-540_FE-340_X-855_C-560_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Replace Olympus fe330 lens shutter flex cable?

The socket for the remote shutter release cable is on the right side of the camera when facing the lens. It is about half way between the top and bottom of that side. Just plug it in and set your shutter option to use it.
