Microwave appears dead, kid tried
There is a ceramic fuse located on the inside of the microwave oven, unplug unit remove cover "2 to 6 screws" allow 30 seconds for the high voltage to discharge, on the right side you will see a keyboard, to the left of that you should notice a silver capacitor rectangular in shape, fuse will be near by, "whitebody with silver ends" remove and take it to a Radio Shack Store or an Appliance repairman to properly size up. When you assemble, plug unit in, "remember there are dangerous high voltages if left exposed" so make sure the top is on before using.

It has completely gone dead, there is power coming
You already know it can be a costly mistake. Had it happen in my own home!!!!
Several things can be wrong:
1. The Fuse inside the unit
2. The High Voltage Capacitor
3. The Power Diode
4. (bad news) The Magnetron.
There is an RF window that can be bad also as when a microwave is run with no load it can be burned. It is supposed to help protect the Magnetron from reverse flow RF and help disperse the RF inside the unit.
The next question is: "Are you going to talke this by yourself or have it repaired?" We can you advise on what to do but there are some hazards that you need to be aware of if your going top give it a go..... Just reply here. Thanks.

The opening door handel broke off.
This is a generic response to your comment
Look at the inside of the door, you will probably find a plastic strip which can be pried out. Underneath the strip, you will find the screws that hold the door together. The screws may be "torx" head.
Take pics of your door with your cell phone as you work and remember, most doors are spring loaded. Watgch your fingers.
Once the door is split open, replacing the handle should be a simple matter.
I hope this helps you

I need to change the venting from back of the
There should be although you most likely will have to pay for it. Most models only require that you take the cover off the top and put it on the back. There will be a plate on the top covering the vent hole, just take it off and place it over the vent hole on the back.
