No tv remote

Go to Radio Shack and get an universal remote control, mine is a Phillips Universal and just program it to your tv. It has a tv/vcr input to let you switch to the right "input"/channel.

The picture is only comming in as a small band

Hello
The vertical scan output section of your Symphonic is faulty. This type of fault may occur either by the defect of output IC or its terminal soldering loose contacts or capacitor problems. Just open your TV, and locate the vertical output section, and the IC used there. It will be a small IC usually screwed onto a metal heatsink, to radiate heat out from it. Resoder all the terminal solderings of that IC, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between its terminals and see the effect. If it does not helps, replace the capacitors used in that section. Replace them all with same type. There will be 5 or 6 of them. If this also doesn't helps you, replace the Vertical Output IC, with same type and number. Ok.

Trying to connect a Sega Genesis. I know it's

Hi,

The input from the Sega wont be on any channel number - you need to select the correct input for the Sega using the "INPUT SELECT" button on the Symphonic remote control supplied with the TV. Switch on the TV the Sega, then press this button repeatedly until you can see the picture from the Sega.

- If you are using the sockets on the BACK of the TV, the correct input is "VIDEO 1"
- If you are using the sockets on the FRONT of the TV, the correct input is "VIDEO 2". You can also switch to the "VIDEO 2" input by pressing the "GAME" button on the Symphonic remote - if you still have it.

If you don't have the Symphonic remote, look for a button marked "INPUT" or "SOURCE" if you are using a universal remote.

If you don't have any remote for the TV, you will only be able to use the sockets on the front of the TV. You will then need to switch to "GAME MODE" by using the buttons on the front of the TV:

1. Switch ON the TV and the Sega;
2. Press the MENU button;
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to open the PICTURE MENU;
4. Highlight GAME MODE using the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons;
5. Set GAME MODE to "ON" using the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons;
6. Press MENU again to close the menu

You should now be able to see the picture from the Sega. If not, check you have correctly connected the Sega to the TV. When you have finished using the Sega you will need to use the method above to switch game mode off again.

Hopefully, I've covered every possible angle. If you have a different Symphonic TV model from the one listed above (ST420FF), the method should be similar, but if you have any difficulty, please post back for further assistance.

BElectric.

How do i program a rcr3273n rca remote to a

Hello

You just check with these codes

10180, 10171
30675, 30821, 31268

Manually turn on the device you
want to control.

Press and hold the device key you want to program. While

you're holding down the device key, use your other hand

to press and hold the remote's ON•OFF key at the same
time

Wait until the ON•OFF key comes on and stays on. Then
release both keys

Point the remote directly at the front panel of the device you

want to control. Press ON•OFF on the remote and wait 2
seconds. The remote is testing a single code for your device

Did your device turn off?

YES: Press the STOP key to store

the code. You're done! You've

programmed this device key.

NO: Press ON•OFF again. The

remote tests the next code for

your device.

Keep pressing ON•OFF every 2

seconds until your device turns back
on. When it does, press STOP

TIP: Because there are so many codes, you may have to press
the ON•OFF key many times-possibly hundreds of times.
Ok

XBox wont work on it? Its hooked to the Av

To work on channel 3 or 4, you need a RF modulator from AV component input. Otherwise just select the AV input on your TV to use it(Xbox).

I need the code to a symphonic t.v for a all in

Hello
You just try one amoung the following 4 digit codes

{ 0053_0189_0227_0456_0024 }
Proceedings

  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
******************************************************************************************************************
If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

Tv picture is getting too

Hi, well this is most likely a Aspect Ratio issue, this can be set via the TV's Menu. You simply need to adjust this aspect ratio, to suit you viewing requirements.
It is all explained how to do this in your user manual, link provided below. http://www.devicemanuals.com/guide/Television/Symphonic/Symphonic-ST420FF-20-TV-Owner's-Manual-T0RVek16az.html

No remote need to put

One option is to get a new remote. http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=ST420ff&uuid=12852168657330 will order the original remote. Any universal remote with an Input function should work (assuming the remote is newer than the TV by at least 6 months).

I wish I could be of more help.

Cindy Wells
(Unfortunately this is a tv that doesn't let you change the input from the OSD menu.)

I got the tv at a yard sale and it doesnt have the

The only way you can do it is maybe with a universal remote. There is no other way. Sometimes you may find an exact remote control for your TV at a local TV repair shop. Somtimes a customer who never picked up their TV or never was able to fix would keep the remote so they can sell them for a few bucks.
