mcdevit75 here, There should be a rather thin Shiny silver bar that goes across the entire cover wher you put the fruit, vegatables in for juiceing, move that bar out of the way, either pull towards you or away while holding down the cover this is will allow the cover to lift off and expaose the filter for cleaning.

mcdevito75 here, I can think of 2 choices, if your Jack Lalanne machine has na gurantee simply return it for repair. If no guarantee bring the machine to an auto parts store for the cresent wrench you need, this will ensure you can use the tool on your machine.

Hi,The blue collector bucket has a cut off switch at the bottom. Make sure it is snapped in place. The stainless bar that runs across the top also has a cut off safety switch. Make sure it too is snapped in place.better still,you might have to check the power outlet,this might also be responsible for the problem,
perharps,since it has been used in a long period,the juicer might need a general cleaning and servicing to restore it back to normal working condition.

these juicers have a tiny little motor. once they smell bad, they are shot. not worth repairing. Joe

The website and TV ads say yes. Citrus skin is very thick and may clog or bind things up. I think this is why they say to peel first on citrus. You might try cutting it up first and see if you have any problems. For sure, you'll want to wash and scrub skin beforehand.

my jack la laine power juicer stopped and won't start again...i have used it less than a dozen times over the past 8 months. is there a restart button? anybody have this problem or do I have to send it in and pay $30.00 just for shipping and handling on that so-called 'warranty'?
