What should I do to solve my problem? This is the problem: The power juicer showed problems once disassembled (it came assembled). There screw peg is surrounded by one white and one orange rings, which serve as base for the adjustment of the blade. Well, they are damaged, the juicer makes a terrible noise when you try to operate it and it simply doesn't look right. I was only able to use the juicer once. I bought my juicer through MyGear and Amazon. I have sent several complaints about the problem but they never satisfied my request of replacing the damaged parts.
I have the same problem but no such luck in resolving through customer service for free as suggested. I was told unless the purchaser purchased the extended warranty, the standard was 60 days only.
They were able to provide a complete new base for a tax total of $49.99 inclusive of shipping. This is not such a bad deal relative to purchasing a new one.
If I were to buy one new today though, I think I would research an alternative product since this design is flawed and they obviously are not interested in solving it and producing happy customers.
I am certain there are others that produce a good machine and will stand behind their designs. My internet research revealed many people suffering from this same problem.
I had the customer service rep review this page and thread with me while on the phone and he did not seem to care a whole lot. He further stated that the threaded white piece is not available as a replacement part; only the entire base as priced above.
So anyone researching to purchase a Jack Lalanne power juicer take note of how they stand behind faulty or flawed designs. They are not fully commited to the "outstanding last a life time product" like their marketing implys.

I just received a jack lalanne power juicer without the owners manual, how do I clean the juicer!!!! Help
i had the same problem and figured out an easy way to open it without the tool. DO NOT take out the screws. I simply used chop sticks. I put one in each small hole and held the chop sticks in an X and turned the top counterclockwise!

I have the Jack Lalanne power juicer express, my mom gave it to me. She only used it once, and I was with her. Now I have it and it won't turn on. The manual says there is a micro safety switch (which, by the way, I still cannot find) that is supposed to keep it from running if the parts are not all assembled correctly. Is there a trick to this? I have taken it apart and put it back together 5 times and it still won't work. I know the outlet is fine as I tested other appliances on it. HELP!
There is a little knob on pulp collector that pushes in a switch, probably to assure the unit is assembled before operation. Mine broke off. I opened bottom of unit and used electrical tape to permanently engage the switch. The Juicer now works. I consider it poor construction that such an important part of the operation of the unit is able to break off and poor customer relations that there is no help for this on their web site. I have used it only a handful of times and the unit has mostly been in storage and has not been abused.

11/3/08 How do we clean Power Juicer Model # CL003AP?
We do not have a manual and this was given to us without one from a parent who proably had not used juicer for a few years. We really want to clean the machine and can't get the pieces unattatched.
We used the machine last evening, and I am concerned it could be unclean inside and not safe to drink anything we make unless we clean it thouroughly. We did run vinegar thru the machine before we made juice, but we still cannot figure out actually how to open the machine up and clean it.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
[email protected]

how do you take the filter and blade off to clean? it came together easily, but having trouble taking it apart...
It should unscrew in the opposite direction that the blade turns. Check the blade direction by momentarily spinning the motor with it's own power (don't touch it!). Once you know which direction it goes, unplug it and turn the blade in the opposite direction to remove.

My jack Lalanne juicer just suddenly stopped working.
Mine stopped working after only a few uses. It turns out that the safety microswitch button wasn't being depressed. The little button on the bottom of the pulp collector had broken off. (Image #1) I put a 1/4 inch piece of a shishkabob skewer in the hole before putting the pulp collector on. (image #2) It works fine now. It's still safe. The motor will not start unless the pulp collector (receptacle) is in place and locked in. Be sure to unplug the machine before doing this.
