Does a crt need ac supply or dc one?
Most CRT displays sold for use in the US & Canada (and probably everywhere else for that matter) require AC. This is because AC is the most popular mode as it is easily stepped up for long distance transmission and down for use in commercial, industrial and residential uses, by your local utility. Additionally, AC is affected by losses or resistance differently than its DC counterpart. All of these (and more) reasons reduce the cost of providing electricity to buildings and homes.
If the utility generated and delivered DC, then electrical devices would be set up for DC connections. Since there is 60 Hertz AC at your outlet, the CRT makes use of it, and converts it to whatever the internal requirements are. Stepping the voltage down and / or changing to DC (inside or outside the cabinet) allows for many parts of the circuit to work directly - and AC of nearly any frequency (not just 60 Hertz) can be produced as needed with electronic circuits inside the cabinet.
Colors, shading, etc on CRTs are the result of an electron gun at the back of the CRT. The gun fires electrons at tiny red, green and blue phosphorous targets on the front of the screen. When the target is struck, the phosphorous glows briefly. If the phosphorous is behind a red mask - it glows red (the same holds tru for green and blue). This same process occurs for each of the thousands of colored target on the entire screen, 60 times per second.
This is simplified explanation - there are other parts of a CRT. There are circuits that create magnetic fields the direct the electron both left and right in addition to up and down the screen. Without these circuits, there would be just one dot glowing on the screen. There are circuits for refresh rate, demagnetizing, brightness, contrast and more.
I hope this provided a good starting point for you and found it helpful.

Dim monitor
Hi
You just bought a new power supply for the monitor? Did you set the B+ voltage to the correct settings. Rebuilt power supplies for CRT monitors are not set correctly at the factory. Use your schematic to determine the proper B+ and then set this under load.
Thanks

Toshiba washing machine model AW-DK1700WMM has turn on, beeps with error code EL then shut down within 5 seconds, how can I slove this problem?
To fix the EL error code:
* Make sure the door is completely closed and latched securely. A loose or broken latch can cause the error.
*Examine the door lock for any damage, dirt, or debris that could prevent it from working properly. Clean the area thoroughly.
* Turn off the washing machine, then unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and restart it. This may resolve communication issues that trigger the error.
* Examine the wiring connections between the door lock system and the control panel. Faulty connections, such as loose or damaged wires, can disrupt communication and lead to the error message.

Toshiba Strata CHSU40A3 no display or tone
If your Toshiba Strata CHSU40A3 phone system is not displaying anything and there is no dial tone, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the power source: Make sure the phone system is plugged into a functioning power outlet and the power adapter is working correctly. You may also want to try plugging it into a different outlet to see if that helps.
- Check the connections: Make sure all the cables and cords are connected properly. If the phone is connected to a network, check the network cables as well.
- Reset the phone: Try resetting the phone system by unplugging it from the power source and plugging it back in after a minute. This will help to clear any issues with the phone system.
- Check for any damage: Inspect the phone system for any physical damage, such as cracks or breaks in the casing or any loose components. If you find any damage, the phone system may need to be repaired or replaced.
If none of these troubleshooting steps work, you may need to contact a professional to diagnose and repair the issue with your Toshiba Strata CHSU40A3 phone system.

What happened when Toshiba laptop shows alt+ctrl+del?
More commonly called 'control alt delete' or the 'three finger salute' it has two purposes. On a computer that is running, it brings up Task Manager and other instant settings like Switch User, or log Out. On a computer that is frozen, unresponsive, it does a hard rest and forces the computer to reboot.

My toshiba laptop displays an expected error occured. Error Code 0xc0000034 during booting window
This error code 0xc0000034 usually indicates a problem with the boot configuration data (BCD) file on your Toshiba laptop.
The BCD file stores boot configuration information and is required for Windows to start up. The most common cause of this error is a missing or corrupt BCD file.
You can try the following steps and can try to resolve this issue:
1. Boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
2. Launch the Command Prompt.
3. Type the following command to rebuild the BCD file: "bootrec /rebuildbcd".
4. Press Enter and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If these mentioned steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a repair install or a clean install of Windows.
