its a hardware issue, and why its your motherboard on laptop have a problem, not physically but i think your try to re-update your BIOS to clear out all the malfunction chips inside your laptop. This problem was actually i encountered before but no one also understand why is always came back the problem on it. Go to the website on the ACER www.acer.com to download the latest BIOS updates on it.
You should install it one by one or step by step like for example 1.0 then 2.0, like that. And don't be so hurry the BIOS is a very delicate setup rather than Windows System.
Basically restore the BIOS setting on default after that installation.
This installation might help to you with that problem and dont forget to unplug all unnecessary input devices so that it will not hang up again. Afterwards run Disc Recovery Disk to setup Windows System, good luck! Bboy

To format the computer with a cd..must boot first with cd so...put the cd-dvd rom at the the top and rest can come after that...the rest sequence dont have much importance..

You need a graphic card for the screen funtions.

Are u able to see Ur BIOS ? If that also showing in white screen Ur display/motherboard/graphics section have technical problem contact service center

What you should do is download the driver of the graphic card. In Dell's Laptops you can find a number called Service tag which will help you to download the latest drivers. Go to the link below and click on how to find my service tag and from there on you will be able to download the latest drivers for your pc which I believe might solve the problem.
Also be careful where you leave the laptop, you should be aware that laptops might overheat and because of that they can crash creating problems like the ones you saw.

Sounds like you are in for a screen replacement which is probably more costly than buying a new laptop.

An alternative is to use a desktop monitor and forget the laptop screen.

to install a driver u need drvier cd if u have then open cd and chek drvier folder and select windows xp folder and chek a full path or copy full path ok now do what as i sat when "i plug in the device it is asking for drivers " menu show's u needto chek other location and then find path bar and select brows then gove full path of cd where windows xp drvier located... and go stape by stape it's help u...:)

Reconnect only the Ac adapter and try restarting the system

Speed is always faster while connected with a cable, this might not really be a problem but just a limitant in tecnology. For example, the maximum speed u can download wireless is about 550kbps, but while connected directly to ur modem, u can download for 11Mbps(+11000kbps).

Try starting from the windows cd. Basically you want to make sure you haven't lost the Video totally. Boot the machine but go into BIOS setup before windows loads. If you can see you BIOS settings make sure the machine meets the requirements of Windows 7 as each time windows updates the system requirements increase. If it does meet these try loading Windows 7 again but choose a lower video setting or use the generic video driver.

the wiring for the display goes through one of the hinges in the back .. if the wiring is pinched or damaged then that could cause your trouble .. there is usually a cover over the hinges that comes off .. you may be able to see the damage ..

Constant power cycling is generally a sign of either bad voltage or overheating. In either case the failsafes in the laptop cause it to reset continually until the problem resolves itself in order to protect the computer from damage.

First thing to try would be to test the power supply with a voltmeter, if you look on the bottom of the adapter the output voltage will be listed as approx 19V. When you, or your tech, tests the voltage is should be within .25 of a volt of the listed output voltage or it is likely the problem. If it is well outside the listed voltage, have it replace and you should be ok.

Second, assuming the voltage is fine would be a heat issue, if one of your fans is dead or if one of the intercoolers isn't making good contact that would cause the unit to overheat and reset. Even an excess of dust in the unit can cause this although you usually see more than two seconds between resets.

To test for heat issues, remove the battery and AC adapter then blast it clean with a can or "Canned Air" or an air compressor with a step down nozzle limited to no more than 20lbs of pressure as more can damage components. When you hit the main fan with pressure it should spin freely and continue spinning for 4-7 seconds after you stop the pressure. If it doesn't spin or stops abruptly the fan is dead and needs replacing.

If these tests both pass but the unit continues reseting it's either an internal voltage problem or one of the intercoolers is loose, either way you should then take it to a pro for a full diagnostic and see what they can find.

This must surely be a problem with your monitor, because you say that you see the white screen while boot up. If this is a graphic driver issue, you may have the problem after booting up in windows. Since its been only a month old laptop, the product must be in warranty for sure. Take away any CDs in the drive, any USB drives and see if this white screen appears. Let us know.

First of all, what I'm about to tell you are general troubleshooting techniques - I make no claim that they will fix what you describe, but they may help lead you to a solution.

1. Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery
2. Plug in the AC adapter and attempt to power on the laptop
3. If it doesn't power on, see #6 below. If it does power on, but doesn't boot the OS, restart - pressing [SPACE] as the first Windows splash screen appears. When prompted, choose to delete the hibernation file and start a system boot.
4. Shut the system down, disconnect the AC adapter, reinsert the battery, and attempt to power the laptop. If it doesn't start we know, at the very least, there's a battery problem.
5. Plug in the AC adapter. If it shuts down immediately, or won't power back on after a shutdown. . .
6. . . .there's a problem with the system board, probably the ciruitry associated with charging the battery.
