Dell PowerEdge 750 Server Questions & Answers
How do i perform a master restore on the Dell PowerEdge 750 server so i can boot it from scratch?
When you reboot it, you should see the reapir menu option, hit the key indicated there and you should get another menu that allows you to restore your system to factory configuration.
Of course, this all depends upon whether you selected a restore partition when you originally bought the server. if you did not, then you will need the dell install DVD, which will have all of the drivers and will walk you through installing a fresh OS. You will also need the OS disks at that point.

Server boot
ntldr is part of the Master boot Record (MBR) it is used in conjunction with other files to allow the OS to interact with the Kernel.
you can copy the MBR record but it is specific to each PC so your options are rebuild server or restore from a backup I would recommend back up as all additional settings will be applied still.
Power is 2950 i912 sel full
Namrata_stha,
The I912 error is referring to the System Event Log is full of events and because of this is unable to log anymore. You must clear the log in order for the Server Management controller to log any more events. Now depending on the OS installed there are different ways to clear it. If Windows Server 2k8 you would use this command - wevtutil el ' foreach { wevtutil cl $_ }
Where with Server 2003 you can go tot he Event viewer and clear it.
Let me know if this helps.

Best is to find a support or systems engineer on http://www.qual.ch if you are in Switzerland and for the UK you can find find a top Dell expert or systems specialist on http://qualifind.co.uk -- I just asked one (from Qualifind) and was informed you just need to install Openmanage and clear the logs from there, no need to down the server.
