Reboot your computer ... the universal fix for hangs and lock-ups. Do the three finger wave if possible. If not possible, turn the computer off.

It has a 3 year limited warranty which basically covers defects and poor craftsmanship. If you have had it less than 3 years and you think the problem is not due to wear & tear then contact Logitech for a replacement.

the side buttons can be cleaned with steam possibly from a shower hope this helps please vote

I usually put a bit of really thin oil on the trackball, a tiny tiny amount, linseed oil is good. This tends to help it roll freely.
