Sharp Conference Series XG-P25X Multimedia Projector Questions & Answers
Hi my name is Rex
Hello Rex
these are not a current model. So you can not get them new. You can definately find one in good shape that is used. I have three of them and love them! They are extremely bright, and look very good. Loaded with features and are very rugged. But they are a little large in size and a bit heavy, but if you are using in perminant install should not matter. Bulbs are readly available and range from $160 to $200 for 1400 hours. Should have no problem finding service center, any good tech should be able to get parts and service, but you probally won't need one.Bargon in this brightness level. One thing I would ask you though is what will your source material be? These can do Hd but they are not 1080 p native. So if you want to do wide screen say from a blue ray player you might want to consider a newer model. Hope this helps.

Hi, I am having a problem with my XG P25X
Hi,
This problem can be caused by improper seating of the lamp assembly. The
solution is to re-install the lamp assembly correctly. Please consult
your owners manual for instructions on replacing the lamp unit and
re-installing your existing lamp. If the problem is not corrected by
doing so, then the projector may need service.
Auto shutdown sharp xg-p25x projector
This would seem to be heat-related as these lamps get hot rather quickly. The first quick and dirty solution - try cleaning the filter which is under a panel on the bottom of the projector. Another fix - be sure the projector is plugged into an image source; i.e. computer or DVD player. Sometimes these units will go into standby mode without a signal. More difficult fix - be sure the fan is runningn. When it shuts down, the fan should keep running until the lamp cools, then it will shut down. If the fan isn't working the temperature build-up with shut the projector off. Replacing the fan may be a job for a tech.
Sharp XGP25X Projector has large blue smudge on Screen
This is one of two things. Most likely there is a piece of dust or other obstruction right on top of the blue panel. I'm guessing that your smudge is in the lower center of the screen - that is where these usually occur. The other possibility is that the blue LCD panel is starting to deteriorate and the components separating. This is extremely expensive to repair and Sharp will end up giving you an estimate that approaches the replacement cost for a comparable new projector.

Hi Garrett
Use this sequence initially.Try turning the projector and source machine off.
Turn source machine on.
Turn projector on.
I can not recall without checking the manual but look for the menu where you can set the source resolution. Some projectors allow quite comprehensive selection and others very limited to zero choice.
This is not a lamp issue, but the digital signal processing.
Typically the Pixel Map processor is not processing the pixel coming in to be mapped to the correct pixel on the display block.
If a digital problem in could either be a circuit malfunction or software (IC rom issue) which really you will need to take to a local authorised service shop.
