Ok this is simple you need to replace your laser pickup. This is the laser that reads your CD. When it is defective you can clean it all you want but it will not read your CD or DVD. You will have to let a tech do this unless you are a tech yourself thanks.

That is a symptom of a board problem of a DVD player,the only solution for that problem is to replace the board...

Sounds like the cd is jammed. Look for a small hole you can poke a paper clip in. This manually opens the tray. If that doesn't work you may have to pry GENTLY on it. Just help it to catch a gear to get your cd out. Then check the operation to see if it was a one time occurance. If not, you may have to buy another one. It's cheaper than getting it fixed.

If the radio or the other functions dont work, then theres a system control problem or a power supply problem. Depending on nhow old this unit is, you may want to consider upgrading as this unit will have to go into a repair shop to trouble shoot. If you have had some solid state training or experience, and have a schematic and a multi meter its a good possibility you can find the problem.. Good Luck

It sounds Like your power supply has developed a fault, advise not to use/or turn on untill problem is sorted

It does have an aux input with two levels but this isn't suitable for a turntable. A suitable input should have RIAA correction with a sensitivity of just a few millivolts for a magnetic cartridge. A bit of basic knowledge is required first; Insert CD, the first thing the processor expects is to scheive Focus. When Focus is acheived, the Spindle Motor will turn. Question edited for clarity, toss in some CAPS, add the Magic word. Strangely there is no owners manual but there is a Service Manual for it. It appears that it is actually a 'JVC FS-2000GD'? Normally turning off the alarm just requires pressing the Alarm Set button one more time to toggle it off. Or you can disconnect it from the mains, remove any back up batteries if it has them and it will reset everything. Then set the time.
