I bought a webcam but I don`t know how to start

Lillianrod1

If the Webcam does not include a CD, the drivers (the software that runs the webcam) should install itself automatically when you plug in the drive. If you are on windows, make sure you have Windows Update enabled so that it can search for the right drivers.

To start using it in Skype, simply open skype, go into the Preferences, and set the webcam as your camera video chatting. To take pictures, you will need software to control the webcam. http://www.yawcam.com/ is a free webcam software that will let you take pictures with your new webcam.

My monitor has started clicking

This is most likely a refresh rate issue.

Reboot your computer and hit F8 before windows starts to load safe mode.

In safe mode, go to control panel, display and then settings.
Change you monitor refresh rate to 60Hz and reboot.

Depending on your windows version it may be under advanced in settings.

If this doesn't help it may be a hardware issue.

Reformat hard drive

How to format your hard drive and re install your operating system.
in order for you to do this you have to (before you format)
1. make sure that you have your recovery cd's or a cd/DVD with your operating system (windows or Mac)
2. try to back up all your information to an external Hard drive or DVD's depends on how much usable information you may have.
3. try to handpic your files to back up because if you do an auto back up you will end up with the same problem again.
-- to do a back up copy all your needed files to an empty folder and then burn them to DVD's or copy to an ext. HD.
4. after you do that (if you have your recovery cd's) insert #1 and restart your computer it will tell you to press any key to start from cd do that and follow directions.
5. when the program shows your partitions go ahead and delete them all, you need to end up with one
6. when you see just one partition go ahead and click continue and it will install your new operating system
7. if you have more than 1 cd it will ask you to insert the next one and so on.
8 after it finishes installing, get the cd out and run the setup process like if you've got a brand new computer, type the information and keep clicking next.
9. at one point you would be on the windows screen and that is it you have a brand new operating system.
Note: take in consideration that when you follow this process, you
erase EVERYTHING from the system including files and programs so after you do this you are going to have to re-install all your programs and copy your docs. back to the pc.
**** If you don't have the discs
check under start-(all) programs - start up- recovery- disk creation.
that (if you have it) will help you to create your recovery disks try to use 2 dvd's if posible if not you may have to get a windows cd to re- install and install drivers and apps.

if it works for you don't forget to rate me

thx

Monitor keeps switching itself off

Switching itself OFF to me it means even the LED light at the front goes OFF. If that's the case, you may have a hardware problem. However, if the LED changes color, chances are your monitor is gone to "sleep mode" in order to save you money on energy. If the latter is the case, simply moving the mouse of pressing any key on your keyboard brings the display back. Try that.
Energy saving is controlled by your Operating System, Windows or Mac. Look in the Control Panel for Power Management or similar category. In Windows, these settings can be found and are related to Screen Saver. Look there first.
Good luck!

I have a 900p xa7191 switch it on comes on for one

Hi

here's lots of place online to buy parts. LCDparts.net is good. How are you sure that it's the inverter? The inverter is the most difficult part to troubleshoot because most shops (not mine) they don't have the high voltage equipment needed to test the inverter. Generally this type of error is actually power supply related. Usually bad capacitors but can also be other components. My shop repairs these all the time. Maybe you can find someone locally?

Thin black line on Xerox 4011 laser printer

Does the same thing occur with a different document.. Because it is not repetative, it leads me to believe the line is being drawn at the direction of the software. Try printing a test page, and see if the line appears. If not the issue is from within the word processsing software. It almost sounds like a legal template for a pleading..
