Try changing your AVI cables, the yellow one could be causing the problem. Try plugging the your cables into the spear ports at the front of the tv if it has them.

Does receiver give noisy sound in FM or remain silent until it gets warm up?
Problem seems with FM tuner in receiver.

There are internal fuses in this unit.
Check these fuses first.
If you find a fuse that measures open, and the glass isn't black or black/silver then simply replacing the fuse may do the trick.
Make sure you get an EXACT match for the fuses, some are slo-blow because of the power on surge it has to allow.

There is not enough power output coming out of the amplifier and the overload switch kicks off. Sometimes this can be caused by cooling. Check your venting in the back for dust build up. Hope that helps!

Here are a couple of common causes for this... You may indeed have a wiring issue between the receiver and speaker(s) - i.e. wire damage causing the conductors to touch each other (look for wire problems at the back of the receiver or speaker(s) right where the wire connects to the device). Also check for physical damage like pinched wire, damaged or missing insulation, etc. The speaker(s) could be damaged (possibly from excessive power/volume levels). If these are not the problem, the cause may be the receiver itself. Try disconnecting one speaker at a time and running the volume back up to see if the receiver shuts off. This may help isolate a specific wire/speaker to check.
