Husqvarna 51 chainsaw will barely run, magnito and carberator ok

Probably need to re-adjust the carburetor jets. They are very small screws in the base of the carburetor. They will be labeled with an "H" and an "L" . Set the low speed first by turning it in slowly until the rpm drops slightly then start turning it outward untill the engine idles smoothly. At that point you can also adjust idle speed. Then you need to be careful here but you need to hold the throttle wide open at the same time adjusting the high speed jet. Turn it in until the rpm drops then slowly turn it out. The rpm will keep increasing. Once you get to a point where it is max'ed out then screw the jet back in one half a turn. Changes in altitude like using your chainsaw in town versus going to the mountains for firewood can sometimes make it necessary to adjust the fuel/air ratio.

The light comes on but

check your cords and replug them in on the foot control and on the machine. It may be that the foot control has been damaged and may need replacement, some machine have fuses to protect them which could be a simple replacement of a fuse.

Multiple threads are coming out

Check the bobbin tension and that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder.

Do you wan to know where the tension is because you want to change it? I don't reccomend that you change tensions. It is in the same area that the discs are when you thread the machine.

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about the replacement dongle. Have you taken your software and dongle into your dealer and had them try installing it on their computer? Or if you have a laptop, take yours in and see if they can help you. It may just be a matter of downloading new dongle drivers. Do a Google search for 3D Dongle drivers - I think Aladdin has the drivers you need. Also you will need to be running XP or Vista 32-bit on your computer for 3D software to work.

Looking for a zipper foot to fit my husky 165

Your 165 takes one of the most common foot styles in the industry. You should be able to find one at any sewing store. It is a low shank, snap on style. The fact that your bobbin in NOT a drop in style matters. Tell the person at the store you go to that your bobbin loads from the front. Taking the ankle that the feet attatch to and your regular foot would also help them get your the right one.

Is there a bar oil

If there is one it'll be underneath the saw just behind the clutch cover/side plate. Though some of the smaller cc / hobby saws don't have an oil adjustment screw. happy hunting

Piston ring

The piston ring whilst the piston is still in the pot should be relitivly tight. This is because it creates the seal to maintain compression. When the ring is taken off the piston it only has about 4mm gap between the two ends, any more than this it's probaby knackered. worth checking pot and piston for scoring around the exhaust outlet as if it's going to loose compression it will be at this point. If all these are fine check the decompression valve (if you model has one) if this is broken your compression will be ruined.

The parts catalogs show this part as obsolete.

Try Googling the top Husqvarna Viking dealers to find one with spare parts from junker machines. Most dealers have a good supply of used plates.
