Check the float in the tank, if it is not floating up from the bottom then jam something plastic underneath it to activate the water level sensor. You can either continue to use it like that ans check water level before you brew or buy a new tank, there is no repair for a float.

I have done XP9000, this may be similar. Remove side cover, operate lever on side of exposed brew unit and pull brew unit out with the handle. You can only do this when machine is in normal 'at rest' position. Unit will not come out in any other position.
