How do I remove and replace front brake disc pads for a 1998 Nissan Presage 2.4 Litre cylinder

Jack the car corner your working on, remove the wheel/tire, use a c-clamp to squeeze the brake caliper and outside pad together pushing all the fluid back to master cylinder, remove the 2 slide bolts attaching the caliper to the bracket, slide the caliper off, replace the pads, pit the caliper back on and tighten the 2 slide bolts, now pump the brake pedal to get the fluid back into the caliper, put the wheel/tire back on and back on the ground. Same with other side. Your only problem is finding the c-clamp you need that's just large enough to squeeze the piston back in to begin with. Place the c-frame on the back of the caliper and the screw in part on the outer brake pad and turn it in till it stops. Gives you lots of room for removal and new pads will fit right in.

I had to remove the brake pedals and having problems putting them back together especially the part which locks the pedals when you are on a hill in order that the tractor will not move.

I am not sure it is problem of brake pedal, you have to check the brake pad and brake caliper, wrong pad and brake caliper problem will cause problem.

I have to replace my driver side rear brake caliper assembly but I am not too sure how to properly bleed the brake system to complete this successfully. Can some provide some assistance. My vehicle is...

first off make sure that the caliper you received is the correct one then remove the caliper bracket with the caliper then remove the bolt which holds the flex hose resecure it back on the new the same way you took it off, then put the brake caliper back on and once everything is back together then open the bleeder screw and allow the fluid to gravity bleed through the caliper, you will have to open the master cylinder resevoir cap so that the fluid can flow through the line and into the caliper, alow this to happen for a couple of minutes then close the bleeder valve and have someone get into the car and press down on the brake pedal while you open the bleeder valve again to get a steady amount of fluid to travel through the caliper. do this a couple of times to make sure there is no more air in the system only then could you put the tire back on the murano

Replace front brake rotor

Remove wheel, Remove brake caliper, remove brake caliper bracket, depending on which setup it is, either the rotor will just slide off now, or it will have a grease cap on the front, peck it off with a regular screwdriver and hammer, pull the big cotter pin, remove nut, then take off rotor, bearings will come out with rotor, if the bearings are good repack them with grease, and pack the front cap with grease when you put it back together.. just barely snug the nut, dont tighten it up. put the cotter cap and pin back in, tap the grease cap back on, bolt caliper bracket back on, put caliper with pads back on, put wheel back on, and your done.. hopefully you have the easy setup where you just pull the caliper bracket off, and put the new rotor on... but if it were me and you had my luck, you wouldnt have that model lol. hope this helps, and if you need any more help, feel free to ask, id be happy to assist you.

How to change brake pads on 1996 roadmaster

Disc brakes I assume on the front of the car? If so.

1. take off front wheel.
2. remove 2 bolts that hold the brake caliper on the rotor.
3. slide the caliper off the rotor and remove old brake pads.
4. take a C-clamp and put it so you can press the piston back in on the caliper so it is almost all the way in. (Caliper = The round shaft that is on the inside of the rotor that pushes out the pads causing the resistance).
5. Check the condition of the rotor. If it is smooth and doesn't have too much of a lip on the outside of the rotor(both inside and outside of rotor), then put the pads on the caliper and put it back together.
6. If rotor is rough or has grooves in it then take the two bolts out so you can remove the caliper bracket from the wheel assembly. Tap on the rotors till they loosen up an replace them.

Good Luck...you can do it
