Hi,
check your headlight relay for loose connections or a bad wire from the relay to the headlight.
Turn off the ignition and if you have a multimeter set it to Ohms and check the wiring for continuity from from the relay to the headlight.
It could also be a bad wire from the handlebar switch to the relay.

You could reverse the two wires at the relay that are feeding your headlight. Obviously the high and low beams will be switched on in reverse, but if the high beam comes on in low beam setting then the headlight and wiring are OK but the high beam contact in the relay is no good, (in which case you would replace the relay) or the handlebar switch or the wiring from it to the relay are bad.
Ask more questions if you want.

Cheers, Steve

I have a 2003 yamaha r1 my headlight turnd off and my turnsignal and highbeam indicator stay on.i can see Bothe headlight on but very, very low beam.when i unplug the headlights Indicator lights go off

check the ground circuit for the lights, it sounds like its trying to find a ground causing the indicators to glow. it could be a bad headlight socket or even headlight bulb as the indicators go out when you unplug the headlight.

Why wont the Headlight and Highbeam indicator wont work

Does the headlight itself work? Will it switch from low beam to high beam? If the lights work but just the indicator is bad, then perhaps the problem is in the indicator socket (corrosion or loose connection) or the wiring to the indicator (bad connector, break in the wire or printed circuit board trace). If the lights don't work, it could be the handlebar switch is failing but it's more likely to be the wiring coming from the bars to the handlebar pivot area.
