Will not stay running without enricher on

1981 550T Suzuki -new gas -clean air filter and compartment -wires on cylindoids are tight -fuel lines clear -fuel filter in tank clean -cycle has been sitting for approximately 5 months without being started. The bike has 3 positions for fuel switch only: PRI, RES and ON. I do not know a ton of information on the bike nor how to fix them but i am mechanically inclined and will try any suggestions to get this bike running, so i can take my children and wife for rides.

Did you mean to say tht the bikes engine wont stay running with out the choke on 'on' position? By the way PRI means prime i.e. you select tht mode whn you start the engine thn shift it to 'on' position,(once running) and on 'RES' is whn fuel stops flowing from 'ON' position.

The heading leaves me wondering Without.. (what?) The fuel tap PRI is prime, the fuel will flow through without the engine running, reserve and on, the motor has to be running and supply vacumn to opperate the tap, the vacumn opperated diaphram in the fuel tap can get old or dry out and cause problems as the little plunger sticks. If it starts on prime but stops on res or on this may be a problem, ride it but dont park it for extended periods in the prime position as it can flood the sump with fuel.

The carburetors need to be cleaned most likely clogged jets and passage ways.the low speed jet is what you want to pay close attention to make sure the are clean.
If you are going to do it yourself pay close attention do not mix up the carburetor parts always lay out the parts from each carb in the from left to right 1234 separation.
I suggest you get the service manual fir this bike before you attempt doing the work yourself.

Will not run without choke 1997 Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit S

Hello, bike not running off of choke is an indication that the pilot circuit in the carbs is plugged.. the choke is a enriching circuit hence why it runs only with the choke on. When turned off the bike starves for fuel and dies. My guess is the bike has sat for longer than 4 months and the pilot jets are plugged from varnish... they will need to be removed and properly cleaned.

Craftsman 32cc blower 316794970 won't keep running when chock kicks out

Fuel starvation . "Probable Cause "worn out fuel lines , Or clogged filter's air and fuel ,the fuel filter is in the gas Tank. begin fix with compressed air clean everything around or near the carburetor. replace the fuel lines and Filters with new. If you can't get new air filter clean with Dawn soap & water. To retrieve fuel filter from gas tank use a coat hanger or similar wire bent to a hook. The fuel supply lines are often 2 lines one for primer and one for supply! different sizes make sure you get them right .Make sure you get the fuel pick up with the stone filter enough length to reach the bottom of the tank.

2011 Suzuki RMZ250 will not run without the choke on

Most of those answers are wrong. When the choke on you are making your air/fuel mixture richer. So your bike is saying it wants more fuel or is getting too much air. If you have not modified the intake odds are it is a dirty carb. Remove and clean it. All of the jets need to be perfectly clean.

Toro lawn mower troubleshooting

Clean the carb, gas tank and fuel line (s). Replace air filter with a new one, I wouldn't recommend that you run it without the filter because that allows dirt and grass debri to enter the carb, fuel line and gas tank.
Replace the plug with a new one that is recommended for your engine.
Check oil level.

Other option is lawn mower repair shop....

Hope this helps, I had the same problem.

Replaced all fuel lines and pickup fuel filter. but won't stay running without choke.

Take the carburetor off and clean it and check and replace any air filters you may have. Can't say that this will fix it ,but it is a starting point for you. Hope it works and good luck.

Rough start, won't stay running. Got bad gas at

Drain the tank of the old fuel completely, try to drain the fuel lines as best you can. Whilst the tank is empty, if you can remove the fuel pump and clean out the filter for debris or gunk. Pull out the spark plugs and see if they have fouled, don't try cleaning them just replace. I have found once a plug is fouled, it is best to just bite the bullit and buy new ones as issues can happen again.

Need help to connect fuel lines 82 suzuki gs 750. lines missing when i bought bike please help

the solution is very simple
there are 2 nipples underneath the petrol tank
the upper nippel should be conected to the venturi nipple because this on opens the valve (can try by light sucking on it)
the second ore lower nippel should be conected to the carbs there is a conection in the middle of the four carb's
please be sur you use fresh petrol and clean the carbs (using compressed air)

when you try without cleaning filter it wil run but not wen you open the trottle (it's because of the vacuum carb's they need the veturi that is placed in the air filter compartment)
