Can you put a 1987 1400 motor in a 1993 VS800?

Hi,,check your float level,,as you have changed the floats the level will need adjusting,,

i gather the bike runs. your question is a bit vague.if the motor cuts out when you put it in gear and go to take off.i think the side stand has a cut out switch it may be faulty.to test find where the wires connect to main wiring loom disconnect plug. if you have a spare peice of wire with the same connections so you can by pass the switch. if the bike runs and the switch needs to be repaced.

1992-1999 Suzuki VS800 intruder:

Front tire
80/90-21 or 80/90H-21

Rear tire
140/90-15 or 140/90H-15

H rating indicates rated for high speed.

If your title or registration don't specify, copy your VIN number and take that to your parts store. I really don't recall any sub-models for the 800 Intruder, but as they say "specifications are subject to change without notice".

install a smaller motor
the reason it is so loud is that the motor is tuned to a certin back presure so exhause provides this
ask the dealer if they have a quieter exhaust designed for the bike they might and at least you sill get a solid answer

When you fuel up, try not to aerate the fuel. Let the nozzle dump the fuel over the hump in the tankto avoid getting it all aired up. Good Luck.
