Rear brake problems

"pedal all the way down, no movement of caliper"
Sounds like hydraulic problem.

Check if you have enough brake fluid.

If so, it could be a bad master cylinder.
Rear brake light switch won't work without hydraulic pressure (which also works the caliper), while front brake light switch is mechanical.

Having problem with my front brake for Yamaha R1 , the brake pads are locking while am riding n it happens after about a mile. The problem started after replacing a brake lever . Any solution ?

OK.... The problem is your brake lever. There is nothing wrong with your braking system, Master Cylinder is fine, pads are fine, fluid is fine, everything is fine. Replace that brake lever with the original one your took off, if not, it will cost you your life. I know I was almost killed due to the wrong brake lever. Everything on the new lever looks right. Right? Same, pin hole size, the plunger seems to fit perfect, the brake light switch flange, it fits, appears to work fine, doesn't bind.. Then wham!! You lock up. DO NOT RIDE WITH THAT NEW LEVER ON.. No matter how expensive it was. Live with the Stock one until you can be sure that the next one you buy is absolutely and irrevically safe to ride with. This MOD is not worth your life. FYI, my lock up occurred in the dark, US 101, lane three, 80mph. 80mph to 0mph in 1 second flat. Bike did not flip just came to a massive stop. I will spare you the "Most frightening 2 minutes of my life". I have 26 years of riding experience, and one stupid mod nearly took my life, and my bike, and more importantly, could have taken someone else's life, or scarred them for life had they hit me... Just saying'.
Happy safe riding. Phil.

After about 45 min.ride my 05 c90 loses most of its power the fuel injection light comes on and I have to limp home. When the bike cools down it runs fine again

Mine used to do and after the shop had it a different days without finding a solution. I asked someone who used to own his own shop, who said to add a new ground, I did and I have not had the issue since. My fuel pump would lose power after the bike got warm. Maybe this wil help. jaxeagle

I have a broken spoke on the back wheel of my bike, and the wheel wobbles from side to side. Is it dangerous to ride up a steep hill, I need to get home, and am wondering if it would be best to walk it or...

This depends mostly on your weight. Yes, it's safer to walk, but if you are a small person, and you can ride the bike on a level surface (like a parking lot) without the wobble increasing, then try pedaling hard in the parking lot. If that works ok, then you can probably get by. Don't ride fast. Don't ride down a steep hill. If you have hand brakes, and your front brakes are good, then don't use the rear brakes. But don't go over the handle-bars by using the front brakes hard! If you are not a small person, then walk the bike. Good luck.

This is Robert with the missing starter button

Sure mate. There is a cool mod you can do, where you are left with a fuseholder under the seat that bypasses all the safeties, wiring, kill switch, ignition switch and so on. You keep a blown fuse in it to make it all look good, and if  you ever loose your keys, or you get a roadside failure in the ignition electrical system(common problem),pop a good into your "special" fuse holder,  get the bike started with the kicker, and "limp home" so to speak.  I will track down some info on the mod for you. It is also good for eliminating the electrics notorious for failure on these old girls. I will find a link for you to the mod. Just have to find it now. Did this to my own XS650... just in case but have never had to use it. Back shortly:)
