Carborator adjusting Hello gays! I would like to know is there any chance to check out(inspect) if the fuel/air mixture is too lean or rich. Also if there is lack of air after the mixture is ready - can I check this. And the float position as well - too high or low. If I can inspect any of these three things at home without a special equipment and tools I would like to know how. Thanks!

If the bike starts good, idles good and runs good don't fix it. Wait until there is a definite problem that needs attention. If all is well then the fuel/ air mix, float level, etc., are set as they should be. Please don't be upset with me. I just don't want you to tinker with the carb until it is broken. Problems will come soon enough. Enjoy your bike and fix it when it is actually broken.

How do I adjust the CO and fuel/air mixture

the CO and fuel/air mixture is not adjustable on modern cars , only on carburettors . the engine management system will ensure correct fuelling, if there is a fault with this then in most cases an engine management light will illuminate on the dash board

How to adjust carburator Jeep Wrangler 4.0 258 of 1991

While engine is turned off.Screw shut both fuel and air mixture. Then each screw turn open 2 and half turn or some times 2 full turns.that should give close enough mixture .then switch engine on and make sure idle at 10rpm for auto and 6 rpm for manual. Then adjust screws lightly to your needs constant check rear exhaust for color of smoke if black it\'s too rich in fuel and if it\'s a farting noise coming out of the exhaust it\'s too lean. The sound out of the exhaust should be running continues and no missing.

It stalls every now and then when I close the throttle. no one can give me an answer about this even the dealer.

sounds like fuel mixture adjustment is to rich,if you blip the throttle and rpms drop then rise its to rich,if blip throttle and rpms hang then drop, its to lean,on the under side of carb there are adjustment screws,if they are on backside of carb, between carb and airbox(filter) then its air fuel,to lean mixture turn screw counter clock wise 1/4 turn,if they are between carb and motor then they are fuel air,to lean turn clock wise 1/4 turn.then check.may have to try couple times.carbs may still have plugs installed, they have to be removed first to do this adjustment.

Yamaha xj900 back firing through carbs can you please help from brian

could have an air leak in the carb boots or bad air fuel mixture. check the spark plugs, if they're black system is too rich. if they're white, they're lean. either have an air leak going to the cars or just need adjusting. also inspect your air filter.

How do i adjust the rich/lean fuel mixture cracked intake

You can't do it with out a tech 2 scanner, so your going to have to go back to the Mechanic to have it reprogrammed. As long as it's running rich, your going to have bad fuel economy and will not pass the emission test when you have to have it done. Good luck and glad to know you got your car running almost 100%
