SOURCE: My transmission oil is foaming (2005 CRF250R)

Hi,

You have a blown water pump seal, and it is allowing the coolant to mix with the gear oil.
This seal must be replaced or the motor will sieze ant the crank.
Do not run the motor until the repair has been conducted

Cheers

Jon

2006 honda crf250r does this bike take two different oils has a plug for oil and one for trans how much in each

Yes. Your bike takes two different oils. You need to get in touch with a Honda motorcycle dealership. They will be able to provide you with the oil and information you need. Honda has its own special brand of oil for each application and filters. Good Luck.

2005 crf250r trans oil and funny noise

The water pump seal is maybe gone. This would allow water into the trans.Get it checked and also that the bearing hasn,t spun in its location. This may cause the color change.Being a grey color,it may indicate aluminium in the oil. This may be the spun bearing turning in the housing. With what you wrote,I would get these things looked at.I hope this helps you
