1995 virago 1100 20k miles #1 roll more than 1/4 throttle and she takes off like a hyper charger with nitrous. #2 Right side rear cylinder gets extremely hotafter couple minutes of idle. All other sides and front cylinder stay cool. Both spark plugs are same color...black. All hoses, pipes and lines ok. [email protected] ps just bought and only rode 1/2 mile.

Hey Anon,
Sounds like its time for a trip to the Qualified Professional to clean, check, and set the carburetors..along with a new air filter.
The black spark plugs are indicative of carburetors being in need of cleaning and setting!

SOURCE: engine cuts out as you accelerrate when in nuetral.

SOURCE: Strange thigs about YAMAHA TW 125

Hi
I have been working on my carb today, the pipe from the bottom of the carb should just run down by the bottom of the swinging arm, there should be another pipe from the pipe on the left side of the carb just above the fuel intake which also runs down to the swinging arm and connect to nothing.
Cheers

To me it sounds like the coil is breaking down and not working at higher RPM's. You can take them off and have them tested at a service shop.

SOURCE: Front cylinder misfire at idle, then raise rpm's to

I am not sure if the bike is a 650 or 1100 but in either case it sounds like a fuel issue or and air leak. When the carbs were off for re-jetting did they get cleaned? The slow circuit controls to about 2000 rpm and it sounds similar to your problem.

The first thing to look at is the carb synchronization. If the front cylinder is lagging, it can give the same symptoms. I do not think that the exhaust is a factor because the front is cold when running.

Spray some WD 40 at all the intake manifold area when the bike is running and see if the idle changes. the idle will change and push some smoke out of the exhast if the intake is leaking.

If both of these check good I would pull the carbs back off and clean the slow circuits out completely. This is delicate work and shoud be done by and experienced tech.

If I can help some more just send message.

I hope that his helps. Steve

How do I adjust the carbs on a 1995 yamaha 750 virago. I just rebuilt the front cylinder and I am getting only 70 to 90 lbs of compression and it is blowing oil. where could it be coming from.

Bad news, I think its a cracked cylinder. Contact local Yamaha dealer for more information. Incidentally, 20,000 miles on a motorcycle engine, if rode hard, can be worn out.

1995 Ford Escort LX Wagon 1.9 Liter. 173K Loud Vibration

Is the engine running on all four cylinders, no missfire? If so, check the engine and transmission mounts, there are four, one at the top right hand side, one at the top of transmission on the left hand side, and one on front of transmission bell housing, and one in the rear transmission bell housing, any of them that are bad can cause this vibration. Hope this helps, let me know.

Rebuilt carbs. flooding rear cylinder

well your deffinately flooding if it had no problems like this before the rebuild then i would say its the needle on the float not closing all the way try takinf the carb off and take the bowl off leaving the float on and hook up the feul line and push the float up if its leaking you have a bad needle. if its not leaking then your problem may be the spark to the cylinder
