How many litres of oil does a 2007 Yamaha Roadliner take?? Thanks Guy

The manual says that the bike holds 5.18 US quarts WITH a filter change. I change the filter with every oil change. If you don't intend to remove the filter, make sure you know your fluid capacities.

The instruction calls for putting in half the oil - 2.6 quarts - into the bike (make sure you replace the filler cap!), starting the bike and giving it a few revs to circulate the oil. Shut off the bike and add the rest of the oil.

How to do an oil change on Roadliner or Stratoliner WITHOUT jack Star...
tip

Keep oil off of bike while changing oil filter

On most sport bikes, well any bike, the oil filter is always right over parts of the bike that you don't want or need oil all over. I found that the box your oil filter comes in act as great to keep this from happening, open the box up so it's flat tear off the side flaps fold it in half long ways the put it under the oil filter so the oil runs down it and into your pan. always check that your o ring comes out with the old filter and double gasket will leck. oil the oil gasket to help keep it from sticking when you remove it the next change.

My transmission on my 2001 flhrci suddenly started leaking. don't notice leakage when bike is upright

Clean all oil from the bike exterior. Leave it sitting in an upright position for a period of time. This may require a bike lift or other such device. Then look for leak source. Make sure oil level is not too high. When changing oil it often gets on the cross member and may leak when on the jiffy satnd for a while until it is all gone from this area. Make sure to always use thread sealant and a good o-ring on the drain plug.

I have new pulsar 150 which run 2500 km's . I

Oil change intervals for motorcycles depend a great deal on your riding conditions and riding style. For lower-revving street bikes, I often change my oil about every 2000 miles (~3200 km). However, someone with a sport bike who regularly revs their engine closer to the redline, I would suggest a more frequent change interval. Off-road / dirt bikes should have their oil changed sooner because of the dusty conditions. The oil is still full of lubricants, but it is contaminated with dust and dirt that clogs the filter and eventually goes right into the engine, increasing wear. I can't offer much guidance for dirt bike oil change intervals.

How much oil does my bike hold it is a 83 suzuki gs750es.

as far as a exact amount i'm not sure, there is a oil glass on the right hand side engine cover near or on the clutch cover. there will be two lines right next to the top is full the bottom is the fill, after you drain the oil and fill, start the bike for a few sec to let the oil fill the filter after shutting the bike off let it sit before topping off this will let the oil run back to the pan so you dont over fill it. next to the fill plug on the bike for the oil there is most likely a set of numbers read something like this 2100cm 3, that is 2100 cc of oil you can get a ratio rite at any local bike shop. you can pick a service manual and get all final numbers.
Good luck my friend

2000 kawasaki zrx 1100 how do i change tranny oil on bike. My frist bike, Not too sure on it.

transmission and engine share the same oil, so it is changed when you change the engine oil, and for that reason I change engine oil on my bike at 2 thousand mile interval.

I have a 1994 heritage after changing oil and filling it to the full mark on the dipstick, I rode it 80 miles the next day I checked it again and the oil tank is over filled ???.What happened.

You over filled it, depending on the type of dipstick you have, the oil is checked either on the side stand or with the bike upright. If you have the type of dipstick that is floppy (the stick part flops around) you have to check the oil while the bike is on the side stand.

Regardless Softtails hold 3 quarts of oil, if you add exactly 3 quarts after draining the oil bucket and changing the filter the oil level will be correct (unless the oil has sumped).

The other thing that happens sometimes when the bike sits for any period of time without running the oil can sump from the bucket into the engine crankcase. If this happens it will look like you are low on oil, so if you go adding oil and then run the bike it will unsump and overflow the bucket making a hell of a mess.

Hope this helps you.

Genral oil change

Look for the oil dip stick. Now look under underneath the area of bike where the dip stick is. You'll see a round disc with a bolt. That is the drain plug. Now you found it lets begin.
1. Warm the bike up.
2. Turn bike off.
3. Take oil dip stick out.
4. Have your oil pan under the bike
5.. Unbolt drain plug. A spring and screen will come out keep them together.
6. After oil finished draining. Make sure Screen is clean before replacing back in with the spring.
7. Start the bolt in by hand then finish with tightening with socket.
8. Put oil dip stick back in. you're ready to go!

It takes 15W 40 ( .9 liters) Don't forget to press yes if this was helpful : )
