My hyosung GV 250 03
Before I blame anything, I would check to see if it is getting gas, and if it is, how about spark? Then I would know which way to go, if no spark, how about the coils.? The stator is rare, they do go bad, but rare. and the cdi, Last thing I would check. Check the wires, check the fuses, check the spark, then squirt some fuel in the cylinder to see if it will fire. If you can borrow a coil, do it, just to try it. Hope this helps.
Just bought 2010 new Hyosung GV250 cruiser. It has
If you are returning it to the dealer from which you purchased it and they are unable to rectify the fault.
And if it developed this fault within any guarantee period they may have given. They are legally liable to refund your purchase price or replace the bike with one of equal value.
As soon as i put the bike in gear it stalls with
This problem should be re-tagged gv650.
It's not your clutch, it's the kickstand killswitch. I had the same
issue.
If you look down next to your kickstand on the left hand side you'll see
a silver switch (looks like a mushroom), follow the cables up to the
front end of the chasis near the sump and you'll find a black connector
with two wires coming out of it. You can either bypass the connector
using a piece of wire or just do what I did and clip the wires, wind
them together and crimp them in a connector.
Start your bike and hey presto - problem solved.
Hope this helps.

have you checked the spark? also after a year of being idle i would suggest the carb needs cleaning out

Without knowing what symptoms the bike is having makes it difficult to know where to begin. But let's start with basics. If the bike has a fuel shutoff valve (petcock) check to see if it is in the right position. This could be Prime (pri) or On or Reserve (res) depending on the setup. You might also try moving your kill switch from off to run a few times as the contacts inside the switch after time can become corroded. If you have a digital multimeter (DMM) you can check the voltage of the battery at the terminals to see if the battery has enough voltage. If the voltage is too low it will either need to be charged or replaced. The voltage should be close to 12.5 volts give or take. If it reads 11 or below volts, you may try a battery charger usually available for around $30. *WARNING* batteries in motor vehicles can be very dangerous so follow all precautions in the chargers manual. It is best to remove the battery from the vehicle (bike in this case) and charge the battery in a well ventilated area as the gases produced from this are both toxic and highly volatile and can easily ignite. Normally a vehicle with a battery too low to start a vehicle will cause a click click sound when the starter is engaged, yet have enough for lights to come on. Another thing to check is make sure the bike is in neutral before trying to start. Usually an indication light is factory on most bikes for this, but one can always verify by rolling the bike on its tires a few feet back and forth without holding clutch lever. A blown fuse can also cause a vehicle not to start. If you do find a blown fuse, check to see if you can see what caused the fuse to blow as they don't normally blow just because. And be sure to replace with the exact same fuse. A lower ratibg fuse might work in a pinch for a quick fix, but might possibly blow shortly after due to the fuse not being able to handle the current flowing through it. A fuse with a higher rating might also work, however this can make more problems in the case there is a problem that would blow the right fuse, this one will take more time to blow which can spell disaster (melted wires, fire, damaged sensors, warranty, etc) Some bikes can also have security systems installed (factory or aftermarket) and this may have a starter disable if the system isn't properly disarmed when attempting to start-up. Try checking some of these things and good luck with your bike. Safe and happy riding to you.
How do i synchorinze the
You will need a monometer with with separate connections and readings for each carb. You will then need to make adjustments to each carb's butterfly until all of the monometer's readings are equal.
The battery on my 2006 gv250 isn't charging any
- Check to see that water in each cell is above the top of the plates. Add water if needed.
- Start the bike then check the voltage at the battery terminals with a volt meter. The reading at 1/2 throttle should be around 14 volts. If it is, the battery may have an internal short and will not accept the charge or the battery may simply be worn out. A well cared for battery will usually last about two years.
- If little or no voltage increase is shown on the volt meter, the voltage regulator, rectifier or stator may be bad. Have them checked by the shop.
I have a Hyosung gv250..
try a different plug or plugs some times even when new they already do not work in other words defective.but i have got the same symptoms from to much gas like the floats are stuck or a jet had fallen while cleaning them. I would clean carbs with compressed are to be sure the needle valves are clean.but yes if no spark off coil i would try and clean where it mounts if dirty or rusted for good contact as for its the ground for the coil also make sure there mounted good and tight.i would then check power wire with a light tester if you got power in the power going to the coil the light will pulsate.if still no spark replace the coil.or coils i hope this helps you.
What could result from driving
Do you know what cylinder is not firing? If so take the spark plug out and that will reduce any low rpm issues, other than using more gas than it should and pushing raw gas into the exhaust where it can backfire on you, it will just run rough. I don't see an issue unless your driving it for many miles. I would not ride any more than I have to to save wear and tear on the engine. The engine is just an air pump, the ignition in the cylinders is just a way to push the pistons, so not firing on one cylinder should not harm anything physically. The rough running at low rpms is due to the engine needing that cylinder to fire and can't rely on the others to carry it as much as at higher rpm when it has momentum.
My Aquila GV250 starts great
it is the kickstand kill switch make sure your kickstand is up and if it is the switch near it that looks like a mushroom may be bad.
Can i use a ytx9-bs
The YTX9-BS size is H 6"x W 3.5" x 4.1875 8 AH The YT7A-BS is 6" x 3.4375" x 4.1875" 8.6 AH as you can see here there is only a slight difference in size. If the battery will securely fasten down it should work fine.
