The glass is held onto the window regulator by a plastic piece, which is usually siliconed onto the glass itself. With multiple days of extremely hot weather, I believe that silicone has come loose, allowing the glass to separate from that plastic piece and the regulator assembly. Only way to know for sure is to open up the door panels and look see. I believe you can silicone them back on, if nothing but the silicone itself is damaged .
DEPENDS IF JUST THE PLASTIC BUSSHING BROKE DROPPING THE WINDOW THAT IS PRETTY EASY BUT IF THE SIZER ARM BORKE THATS GOING TO TAKE WORK
