Okay here is what is going on - my 2003 chevy blazer in the last 2000 miles (first 145,000 with absolutely no problems - bought new with 3 miles on it) has decided to randomly not start.
It turns over, but won't start. Fuel pump is pumping, see spark from distributor cap, replaced Fuel Pressure Regulator and twice towed to Chevy dealer to check. Both times it cranked for them and they found nothing wrong with it.
Any ideas please? I am so tired of it not being reliable after 145,000 miles of perfection.
Thanks!
98 chevy blazer wont start when temp goes below 15 degrees starts and runs fine rest of time have new battery and altenater
Over the past 4 days my 2003 Blazer, 4.3, 4wd, started having starting problems. Alternator gauge went high and low on the day before it died, figured it was like the battery was being drained at low RPM. Finally quit in the garage the next day. Replaced the battery (no cost) and then the starter sounded like it went. (Got the high squeal) could it be the starter went bad and started shorting out?
Have the computer checked out. may need reprogramming and have updates added. also check for loose or corroded connections at the terminals.

My 2003 blazer also sometimes won't start. It cranks but does not turn over. If I wait 10 minutes it will start right up. I added an aftermarket (Prestige) remote starter to it 4 years ago and sometimes the Security light will come on too.
Well, after fixing a faulty Oxygen Sensor, MAP Sensor and replacing a Fuel Pressure Regulator, the Fuel Pump finally died. I guess, it was a combination of things.... Seems to be running fine now. We'll see if it leaves me stranded again!

My 2003 is in the same boat. Engine cranks normally, fuel pump is running, but just doesn't want to start. Occasionally it attempts to but stops. I took apart the distributor cap and replaced the rotor. After that no problems for weeks. It dies again. Removed the rotor, cleaned it with a brush and it's now fine. Third time now same situation. Looks to be very wet under the hood from a storm so I'm thinking moisture in the cap. Replacing cap & rotor as a set today hoping it works. Has 60k on odo and rarely gets driven.
