Not sure where you are getting 2 or 3 different answers', but on this site, you will be shown SUGGESTED Answers, and they are often wrong and will show you ANYTHING that mentions Isuzu and camshaft..

Most of the information online leads to to Isuzu Rodeo, this search query forces it to show 'Trooper'. The fly in the ointment is that there are 2 engines.

there is no such sensor until 1996
why not post the problem or a symptom
and ask for help.

if you meant crank sensor its on the right side of engine block center.

seen here, CKP "crank sensor"
if you look for a CMP on line you will find it
but its Bunk, it's not there, stores mix parts up. et cetra.

Hello,
A 1340 error code for your Isuzu Trooper means that the engine is experiencing a "Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction" which would mean the computer isn't exactly sure where the camshaft is located in it's rotation. If the issue is intermittent then look for a broken wire, if it's solid then the sensor needs replacing!

doesnt have one its inside the distributor
