I had this problem too. I made the upgrades like you did,
but I kept blowing seals. The solution is really simple, it
seems that if you take it to a shop they figure it out right
away. Where is all this information stored anyway?
One of the screws on the plate holding the power steering
hydraulic diverter (below the pump) needs to have a washer
between the plate and the engine. I don't remember which one
it is but I think it might be the top one. This will bring the shaft
on the priority valve (same as diverter) in line with the seat
on the pump. Without it they are not quite lined up leaving
a gap for the fluid to shoot through and blow the seal. Also,
makes it harder to get the thing together.
I've been to the dealership and they know nothing about the alignment issue or a washer fixing it. Can you give me any more info about where the washer goes and/or how thick the washer should be. I tried to put a washer behind the diverter and it was way out of alignment then.
Can anyone give me information on how to check the alignment of the diverter valve. I can make a shim or install washer to fix the alignment but have no idea of how to check it to see what it needs or if I've added enough or too much.???

I just blew a seal on my priority flow valve (Ford 1710) and my three point hitch won't raise. Fluid is pouring out near the top nut.
Sounds like you've worked on this before.
Can you tell me if I need to take the PCV off or just lossen the nut to replace the seal?
