I have a 2004 Acura Rsx with 70,000 miles and first the idle went lower and started stalling so I turned up the idle, and while driving it in traffic 20 to 30 mph I noticed that it was not shifting so I put it in manual and it shifted fine ,i put it in drive and floored it and it didn't even down shift and was bogging like it was lost power and very slowly climbed to 65 mph but it was floored ! the next day it was fine ,now it is intermitting!

The first thing is you can not adjust the idle , you will need to have the throtle plate set back to spec, when you turn the adjusting screw to raise the idle you change the tps readings and this will cause problems, a meter or scanner tool will be needed to adjust it back and then see why the idle was low, these newwer cars are all computer controlled, the computer controls the idle and much more, you may have starting problem and may even cause converter damage, have the idle adjusted back and tell them you adjusted it, the problem may be a bad or dirty idle air control valve, but have the computer scanned and see what codes are stored, good day.

Would a intake leak or vacume leak cause my 2003 acura rsx to rev up and then die when i start it ?

On the RSX I'd check the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) It's on the bottom of the throttle body and if stuck open can cause this. Also, make sure to check all sensors under the hood are in and tight. If it's none of those may want to look at the fuel pump.

Hi I'm litoshop before you continue trying to turn on the car check the timing belt if the car stalled while driving and you have more then 70,000 miles most likely the timing belt is gone and if that's so then check you did not bent the valves good luck if this information has been helpful please let use know thank you
