At an auto parts store, if you tell them the car you have (year, make, and engine), they can look up the correct one for you. If you go with the Bosch Platinum +2 or Platinum +4, they'll come pre-gapped, so you don't have to gap them yourself. I was unable to find a listing for what the proper gap is, but at the store they can either tell you or sell you a pre-gapped plug that you won't have to worry about setting.

03 mazda mpv misfire & CEL blinking even after new plugs & coils.

It sounds like you are still not getting the desired spark in the cylinder. A couple of other things to check are the plug wires and more importantly, check the gap on the new plugs. The gap listed for that year of MPV is 0.054 inches. You local auto parts store should have a gap tool, if you don't have one already. Even if they came pre-gapped, it would not hurt to check and make sure they are within that gap spec. There is also another suggestion to check the cam positioning sensor. If it is not sensing correct, the coil pack won't fire at the correct time.

What is the correct spark plug gap for ngk spark plugs for this engine

Plugs come out of the box close to factory specs. Look at them and make sure they are all close to each other. Gaps are .030 to .060, and yes it makes difference. Year make and model helps. With engine size.

I have a knock sensor and a 1 -misfire code. I recently gave my car a tune up and within a month i had a check engine light on. Can you tell me what i should check? Thanks

If you could elaborate a bit more on what was done to the car we could pinpoint the problem right away. However, typically a tune up is plugs, wires, cap, and filter. Given those four changes, I would point my finger at the plugs. Many of times spark plugs do not come pre-gapped. Meaning the distance between the metal and the electrode, white looking ceramic are not measured per spec. If you did not gap the plugs, I would recommend taking them out and adjusting the gap to spec. You can call the dealer and ask them for the recommended spec. I have attached a pic of a spark plug with an arrow indicating how the gap is measured. You will need a feeler gauge to measure the gap and adjust.rltofixya_3.jpg

Without proper gap the engine can/will misfire.

Tune up Mazda 6

the owner of the car should be able perform engine tune-up . Prepare the tune up tools and materials . so that when tune-up is performed ,engine should be on peak performance and within specification.Use multi tester , Use timing light, use dwall meter ,use tachometer ,use feeler guage, adjust spark plug and contact point gaps. Adjust Idle speed and Idle mixture. Adjust tappet clearance, observe safety rules. If the owner of the car cant do the job done because of work then the owner of the car should go to a car mechanic and let them tune-up the engine.

Spark plug gap setting for a 98 range rover

what have you replaced with your tune up? should change plugs and plug wires, as well as the fuel filter, and air filter. the plugs should be set to factory spec.. be absolutely sure you've got the correct wires going to the correct plugs. the coil packs are a pain to get to but if all else fails, it may be time to replace them.

2000 Mazda Millenia

Exhaust leak? Please describe. Make sure correct spark plugs were used (I think gap distance makes a difference, but ask a local mech or store parts employee) and the intake manifold is put back on with correct torque specs. Make sure there are no leaks in the air intake hose, air box, etc as this will effect performance.
