IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

Or you can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of programming for 2002 Audi A6 radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

Hi I just bought a 2001 Audi Tt in an auction, the radio says "code", I read that on different forums that the dealer is the only solution, any ideas?

I had the same experience. Basically the dealer needs to pull the radio, get the serial info of the radio, vehicle VIN etc then call it into Audi - they will provide the 4-digit unlock code. My dealer wanted $80 for time and effort.

What I did - spent $5 for a set of special removal tools (ebay) you need to pull the radio. I pulled it myself and -surprise- there on the top of the radio someone had written the code. Once you have the code there is a series of steps you need to follow in order to input it correctly. I found what i needed at this web site: http://www.ibiblio.org/tkan/audi/radios/radios.html

Best of luck.

Hi i need your help i need aradio code for AUDI A 6 2.8 quitro 1999 vin Number WAUDA24B2XN015695

According to the VIN you've posted, your code *should* be:
0958
If the radio was replaced, or reprogrammed, that code may have changed. The only info I have is taken directly from the VIN you've posted. I have a friend in an Audi Service Department, and I called him with your VIN.
Hope this helps!

AUDI A6 RADIO CODE

try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
