I have an 2003 chevy venture and the engine light came on. the auto store told me to google search p1441. What is the problem and how to fix it

P1441 code indicates an EVAP system problem the most likely cause is your charchoal canister needs to be service or you may have a vaccuum leak to it or from it. usually an easy fix first start by tracing the vaccuum lines running to and from it for any broken or cracked lines and replace as needed. If this is ok you can replace the filter in the canister and or just go to the wreckers and replace the whole canister. Or the best would be to replace it with a brand new one from an auto parts store that way you can be sure it will not be a bad one. Be sure to reconnect the vaaccuum lines correctly in the same place you removed them as this can effect vehicle emmissions and produce more codes and cause your vehicle to fail emmissions test.
