It is possible that the shocky on that side is faulty so a replacement would fix it if that is the fault
rather than being a "frozen "unit
it is more likely a broken unit that is allowing the suspension to bottom out on the bump
Take it to an accredited front suspension shop and have them do a front end check

sounds to me like your front control arm bushings are broken. have your mechanic check the bushings in rear of the control arm. the ones that are right by the 3 bolts in the control arm in rear. those bushings brake and cause play in the whole assembly, causing a rattle. Its a black round bushing about 2 inches in diamater. its most likely all separated. common problem. Have him look at your stabilizer bar links also.

HI, this noise can be caused by worn shocks, even if the bushings look good, you can remove one of them and check if is hard to constracts ,if not they must be replaced,

i had a car it ride hard you could feel the road as you run over it. i put a little wider tire it helped. it ride better.but now you have anti lock brakes.if you get a wider tire . tell the tire salesman get you a tire that wont upset the antilock brake system.you want factory height but just a wider tire.
SOURCE: squeaking sound from shock absorbers
ball joints won't squeak like that; they make a popping noise when they're bad. it is very common for shocks to get water in them and start squeaking, and it's usually a horrible screeching squeak. The only way to get rid of the squeak is to change out the shocks. Hope this helped.

usual cause is the anti roll bar drop link that is worn easy to replace
