Need to know torque nut setting Peugeot 306 hatch 96

The torque setting for the nuts on a 1996 Peugeot 306 hatchback will depend on the size of the nuts and the type of bolts they are used with. Here are the recommended torque settings for some of the more common fasteners on the Peugeot 306:
  • Wheel nuts: 80-90 Nm
  • Engine oil drain plug: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil filter housing: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil cooler hose banjo bolts: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil pump mounting bolts: 25-30 Nm
These torque values are for general reference only and may vary depending on the specific model of the Peugeot 306 and the condition of the fasteners. It is always best to refer to the manufacturer's recommendations for the correct torque settings.

SET TIMING ON 306 XT 1999

You need to enter what engine etc deisel there is a little hole in the cam wheel which line up to a hole in the head same on the fuel pump and behind the starter motor there is a hole which lined up with a hole in the flywheel always turn the engine clockwise from the crank and always pin and mark pulleys. If I remember the crank pulley floats for about a tooth or so. Pin the crank first make sure it don't move the pin the rest . Petrol the same for the cam and crank but I don't think the crank floats at all so u can mark it

Peugeot 306 turns over but will not start.been off road for 2 months, battery just been recharged.whats wrong ,oil and petrol ok.

I would suggest taking out ALL the plugs. The engine will turn over much faster and not drain the battery. You may find that the fuel in the engine has become diluted with water. This turning over without plugs will do a couple of things: a)free up and lubricate everything.
b) give the fuel pump the greatest chance of getting fuel through to the cylinders, c) purge some stale fuel out of the engine. You should be able to smell petrol vapour once it's coming through, albeit feintly.
c)Give you chance to check the spark on each plug.
NOTE THE LOCATION OF EACH PLUG LEAD! If these get swapped round, it will never start until they are corrected!
