Replaced the rear bearings a while ago,and have had to replace them twice since.Thought first of all the last set were faulty but the next set also went.Could there be something else wrong with the car,shocks/suspension etc, causing the bearings to keep going,or have i just been unlucky to have purchased two dodgy sets??? Thanks.(Car is a 98 escort estate,1800 diesal LX)
I keep replacing wheel bearings on both rear wheels on my SReg escort, in 2 years i have put in 4 sets of bearings, the last only a few weeks ago, now 1 is starting to make a slight noise again, i can not see any reason why this keeps happening hope someone has got some sort of idea please.
When you install the bearing are you replacing the complete hub? The torque spec for this is 130-174 ft.lbs. Also are the rims and tires of stock size?
