If the remote's battery has never been replaced, it's probably time now.
The type of battery employed in these has a 'shelf-life' of around 5 years so if yours hasn't been replaced, you are overdue.
As far as the failure of individual door locks to operate, the mechanism may have corrosion that is impeding their travel.
Check the owner's manual, it may give information about freeing sticky locks.
If you don't have an owner's manual, I can recommend the Haynes service manuals.
They cost ~$20-$30 US and can be had in most auto parts stores.

The boot was open on the car by my wife with her key(as the remote hasn't worked the boot for some time)I was in the car with the engine on and the locks went up and down then stopped working other then by the key any ideas??
The remote does not work, and it was difficult to open the lock on the doors with the button on the door. Worked when we open ´held open the handle from the inside while pushing the button.
