From this limited discription, there is a short, you need to check the wiring.

Testimonial: "The truck will run for a few days and it's after I shut off the engine it won't start. Is there a common spot the wire is going to ground"

SOURCE: ecm fuse keeps blowing

just fixed this problem, change your fuel pump module, fuel sending unit shorts out on fuel level swing arm blue wire... unfortinately you must replace it as unit because of the design, fuel pump and tank guage fuel level sending unit are a one peice item, fuel tank has to come out to change unit, about a $ 700.00 repair too... fuel pump module runs about 350 to 700 $ depending on aftermarket or factory, try to find one with a lifetime warranty even if it is $ 50.00 more worth it..labor is about $ 250 to $ 400 depending on shop labor rate... definate problem though I ahve no doubt, common problem on GM... please rate my help, thanks...

SOURCE: the ecm fuse

Hi, this could be caused by a short circuit in the ECM or it more commonly found a short circuit in the alternator. Disconnect the battery wire from the alternator, make sure that the wire does not touch any part of the body or engine. Replace the fuse and see if it still blows the fuse. If the problem is solved, replace the alternator, if nor you will need to test the wires for a short circuit.

ECM-1 keeps blowing 1990 chevy astro

Without any schematic diagram it sounds like the ECM has a short in it or something the ECM is connected to. Without a schematic for your particular car it is difficult to tell you the EXACT proble. Blown fuses means you are overloading the fused circuit. Just make sure the fuse is the correct size. Thats the best i can do with the Information i have

95 chevy blazer keep blowing the ecm fuse

If it "keeps" blowing the ECM fuse, it is because you "KEEP" replacing the fuse without diagnosing and repairing the reason the fuse is blown.

if it is the ecm b fuse thats blowing i would try disconnecting your oil sending unit and see if it still blows the fuse.i have seen the sending unit short out internally before and blow the fuse.if it is the ecm 1 fuse it is either a chaffed wire or one of your injectors shorted.

The key is to find out what is causing the ECM fuse to always blow. With just the key on try and see if any codes are set in the ECM. If not, try a new ECM. If the fuse still blows, then disconnect all accessible electrical for everything, including radios, accessories, relay boxes, etc. except the ECM. If the fuse still blows, then probably something wrong with the wiring to the ECM. If it doesn't blow then start hooking up things one at a time until it blows again. Once it blows, that is your problem.

Keep blowing ECM fuse on 90 honda accord

I'm thinking the ECM is bad and grounding out, causing the car to blow the fuse. The old gas wouldn't cause this problem.

ECM BATT fuse keeps blowing

That fuse provides power for the fuel pump. Either your fuel pump is blowing the fuse or there is a shorted wire.
