Hi im having trouble starting the car (when its cold) i say when its cold as once it has been running for a while it will turn over and start - however if i try after it has been standing for a few hours it will turn over but wont start??? car has been running like a dream before yesterday when it took a while for it to start and again today? Any suggestions or auto elec or garage for a fix?
Could be a weak startmotor, the bushes wear out over time and it will need replacing. if its turning over slowly it could be this, other is the battery has last its amprig as the starter motor does need a lot of amps. and other is the connection from the battery to the starter there is not good contact.

I have to agree with duane_wine. Starter makes sense. Sometimes you can jump the starter by cracking the solenoid with something metal. This doesn't always work, but sometimes it'll knock some of the corrosion off the internal componets. Good luck. Love to hear what the issue ultimately is.

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

Check for spark, the distributers are known to go bad on these, let me know if there is spark
