Below is an answer I found on line pasted it here - checked it out - found I had same problem. Additional notes from my repair...You must remove the scuff trim - pull back the carpet to get to the harness - inside the harness trace the two orange wires from the rear frontwards... the splice is approx. in line with the column between the front and rear doors...until you find the splice with a single orange wire - my splice was all green powder copper corrosion = no power. I pulled on the two rear wires and they immediately seperated form the single wire splice joint, came right apart - spliced -took about two minutes - radio works like new - good luck... I found the problem to be an orange power feed wire in the passenger side rear door scuff plate that totally corroded open. Evidently water came into the car interior through the fresh air vent below the front windshield and ran back though the wire harness tunnel. The splice area was just past the passenger rear door pillar where one of the orange wires was spliced into two smaller orange wires that provided power to the factory amplifier. Respliced the wires and now works great. Please pass this on as the most likely failure mode for this vehicles inop radio when the radio lights up but no sound. RICK

Impala radio and lights dead

I think you could use this manual method instead.. My nephew used
it to repair my car and it's totally perfectly fine now. Here's the website he bought it from. www.reliable-store.com

Lights wont come on dashboard

Two different problems. The most likely cause of the dash lights is a faulty headlamp switch. Your issue is a common complaint. The radio is another problem entirely. I would need more information before I could attempt any answer at that.

2002 Chevy Impala Radio Doesn't Work

Check the radio fuse? Box is drivers side end of dash(drivers door open)or pass side end of dash(passenger door open)
police models have a connection for the speakers (passenger floorboard under floor mat) to connect the speakers to the police radios.
If they had the speakers connected to their radios, they may have unhooked them and not connected them back to the radio.
The wires are brown, grey, blue and light blue. All into a blue connector.

I just changed the oil in my 2002 Impala LS and filled the tires to the proper psi but the message center still reads both messages.....change engine oil..........tire pressure low. What do I need to do to...

ok this can be done 2 different ways 1 , with the radio controls , should be in the owners manual , or the easier way , to reset the oil maintinence light , turn the key to the ON position , engine OFF , depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds and it will reset ,

now the tire monitor system , same deal should be in the owners manual , and done with the radio controls , or the easier way , turn key to ON position , engine OFF , cycle the parking lights 3 times within 5 seconds , (turn on - turn off = 1 cycle)

pretty cool huh? but make sure your tires were properly inflated before you reset the tire monitoring system .

My radio won't turn off

Your radio has internal problems. If you want to fix it a dealer can send it out to get it repaired.

2002 Chevy Impala

This sounds like a bad battery or a bad connection at the battery, the guages are the key, check the cables for a white power, this is battery acid corrosion and must be cleaned off, auto zone or kragen auto will test your battery for free.
