There no real specs for the tensioner. The bolt should be tight and the unit as a whole should be squared to the engine. If it is in anyway tilted, th eunit is coming apart and will need to be replaced. One bolt holds this unit in place. It should have adequate tension to keep the belt taunt against all the pullies. If you are dealing with a constant squeel issue, locate the writing and you should be able to read it like holding a book in your hand. If it is upside down to you, reinstall. this will take care of the squeeling 9 times out of 10. The tensioners for replacement run about $50 - $75.

Once you align the top and bottom timing marks, and install the belt and tight the belt tensioner, you are done, there is no distributor to adjust ignition timing, it is computer controlled. The torque for the crankshaft bolt is 80 foot pounds. Hope this helps, let me know.
