1997 Breeze hesitation while cruising

Hi,

I have problems with my breeze while at cruising speed. It will "flatten out" and then accelerate again all while not moving the gas peddle. I bought the car in 2003 and am on my 3rd set of spark plugs and plug wires. The problem gets worse over time till the car barely runs. The last time I let it go until the car was misfiring and I just barley got it to a garage. The error code said misfire. New plugs and wires and it was fine for another 12 months then it started all over again. Can you help?

Sound like your wires might be chaffing through and arcing out on a ground somewhere!

98 plymouth breeze slight jerking and sputter while accelerating and cruising. no rpm or speed loss. battery light came on first, no check engine light is on?

If your battery light is on, you need to have the alternator tested. If you have a voltmeter you can test it yourself. It should have at least 14 VDC at the battery with engine running.
I'm not sure this is related to the sputtering, but it might be.

Accelerate on gas pedal and does not go past 45 miles per hour

suspect cruse control setting.
some cruse control settings can be made so that no matter how hard you press the pedal it will only go to the set speed. check manual for any secondary cruise control setting that might have been set to 45.
