2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD fan blower will not turn off even with keys out of ignition. When running and turn off AC blower will switch to the defroster and blows high no matter where switch is at. Had to pull fuse to keep battery from running down. Is this a problem with this model/year and what is the solution to fix it?

Sounds like a faulty climate control switch...
Call your local salvage yard and ask how much one is where you live...

My 2006 Chevy Silverado 4X4 blower fan stays running after ignition shutOff?cannot control the fan speed either,The display turns on&off every time, settings & bars to show the fan speed work etc.

It sounds as if the blower motor relay is stuck, on your vehicle the relay is part of the blower motor resistor, the resistor is behind the glove box.I hope this helps. Take care. If you have more questions for me about this vehicle or if you just want to say Hi! use testimonial. Thanks

Heater and ac not blowing at all

The first thing i would check is the heater blower motor for power. If the blower motor has power then pull and wiggle on the blower motor resistors pigtail or connector but make sure the heater and fan motor and the ignition switch are turn on so you can here if the motor comes on. A lot of times these blower motor resistors get hot enough to melt the connector causing it to loose its connection.

2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 4x4 the ac wont kick off after key is out of the ignition and it only blows hot air.

I am assuming you mean the blower will not stop with the key off.
The compressor can't run with the engine off.
I would look for a stuck blower relay.

there could be partial contact in the blower controls which has resulted in total loss of contact, in blower speed affected. replacement of the entire blower control switch should resolve it

Can you say recall notice? Chevy knows about this problem and has extended the warranty through 2016 or 150,000 miles. Just had my 2006 Silverado fixed at dealership @ no cost to me. It takes the shop approximately 45 minutes to correct.

2006 chevy silverado 2500 4wd a/c fan will not blow, fuses chek good

look under the dash on the passenger side and you will see the blower motor, unplug the electrical connector and inspect it take special notice of the third pin from the left. they seem to have a common problem in that it melts the feed wire to the blower motor, a replacement plug kit can be found at most autoparts stores.

Lost car key and need to replace the ignition in 2006 chevy silverado

Hi,
The easy way out is to call a locksmith it is cheaper in the long run as you will need to buy a key with a chip in it most likely so the locksmith will make it for you now and save the swap.
Be prepared to show proof of ownership.

Best of it -

2004 Chevrolet Silverado Heater/AC Blower on without Ignition ON

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate
