A few generic ideas.

1. Check fuel pump pressure.

The first thing you need to do is check your fuel pressure,It should be 13.5-15.5 psi with engine running.If its not within these specs then replace the fuel pump.Sounds like your fuel pump is weak.

1989 I had I carburator version, Depending on where your at it will be the choke mechanism of the carb, For cold start it need to be in the closed position then when it warms up it is lock out, now for a fuel injector type there is a throttle body sensor(TBT) is 2 wire thermistor. As throttle temperature increase,thermistor resistancedecreases, this controls fuel mixture based on coolant temp sensor

theres a few things to check for this problem. the throttle body needs a good cleaning, especially around throttle plate. I fixed a 95 caravan a while ago, and it would stall for no reason, cleaned out throttle body and now its fine. also a bad cam sensor will cause this as well as a bad idle air tcontrol sensor ( IAC ) try cleaning throttle body good. do this first ok ! do you have a check engine light on, if so have it scanned to find problem code. its very hard to tell by not being there but try above.

when was the last time it was tuned up?
you need to check the air filter, and check the throttle body for black soot deposits.when you are pushing on the gas pedal you are giving the engine more air not fuel,your vehicle is fuel injected ,

Check the carb out sounds like its pushing to much fuel in butterfly could be stuck or choke on constant any warning lights on the dash i.e. engine managment light this could be the lambor sensor in the cat if this sensor has gone then it could be telling the fuel system to push more fuel in.

It just might be that the choke is stuck open.

Kedwin,, Your problem is, the computer on that 3.3 L.
Need to be programed with the VIN nember of your car.
The Antitheft System will disable the injectors due a incorrect VIN, Bucause the body computer is not recieve the correct pasword between 5 seconds after start up.
YOU have 2 options. 1 get a ALOHA Smith. some of they have the computer required to program ECMs.

The other option is: Get a new ECM from the dealer, They will program if ask for that.

NOTE:::::: Other way is . Put the body control module with the computer from the same car.
