These sensors are quiet a problem. They are located under the intake and normally go off because the engine got washed sometimes the water will evaperate and the problem goes away but anymays the intakes gota come off there are 2 of them so i would recomend replacing both while ur at it

hi from the uk the location of mass air flow sensor on x type jag is as follows==it is on the r/h/side of the air filter cover with jaguar embossed on top? this sensor is just prior to the intake hose that connects to the motorised throttle body from filter connections underneath it to unplug and meter is held by two screws ?if memory serves ? may i suggest you remove the large hose and use a little wd40 or similar to clean /lubricate the throttle butterfly in throttle body throat at this point so as to prevent future sticking upsetting of idling ? hope this helps ?

It's under the intake manifold. To access it you have to remove the manifold and injection rail.
