First I'd make sure there's gas in it. Fuel guage issue would lead me to check out the fuel pump and go through the rest of the fuel system if necessary.
Beware the fixya trolls who answer no questions, but tell people to take it to a shop.
Just replacing part's because that's what you think is wrong isn't the proper way to do auto repair . Testing vehicle electrical an mechanical system's an cumputer systems is the proper way to diagnose vehicle problems . Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop , because you have no clue .

Good Day,
I am assuming that you have the 4.3L V6.
The fuel pump is always a pain on trucks becasue you have to remove the tank to gain access. The pump is bolted in on the top side of the tank. I hope it doesn't have a full tank of gas as it needs to be drained(re-use when job is complete). Not to mention pulling a tank that's full of gas very heavy.
See this link for an overview:

Here's how you test the fuel pump relay, and fuel pump:
Fuel Pump
Also see figure 4 which is digram 3 from this link, this is the schematic on the fuel pump, the fuel pump's hot wire is tan with a white stripe, if you can test the voltage of this wire you can confirm it is not an electrical problem.

Also be sure to releive the fuel pressure before servicing

Let me know if any of this is jibberish to you and I can clarify further.
Good Luck again, and feel free to ask anymore questions.
SOURCE: 1995 pontiac bonneville stalls
I just went through lots of troubleshooting and expense on my 1996. Whenever I would lift my foot off the accelerator and was below about 30 mph, the rpm's would starts jumping around and sometimes it would stall. If I gave it a little gas (accelerator), I could sometimes keep it running. It also backfired once in a while. Starts right back up. Also, if I let it idle while in part, it would die after 1-2 minutes.
I ended up finding a hole in the fuel regulator. About a ~$70 part if you get an AC Delco, but very simple to change.
