check fuses and relays -if new bring back to installer have them repair --if new and you install recheck your wiring and motor hook up linkage also test switch and motor new doesnt mean free from defects
97 350 .... 9 ft Western unimount isaramic . New 9 pin . Truck and plow side . New plow motor .new relays and solenoid . . Plug 9 pin in and plug power cord to to . Lights come on. Motor kicks in when I turn on the controller . But stays running and no movement. Test light the plow solenoid . All have power . New fluid. I'm buying a new pump for 200 hoping that's the problem . But I'm stumped on the new motor ...... Old motor had 1 post . Ground to frame . New motor has two posts . Post and neg to motor .... If I switch the ground back to plow frame like the old one. Nothing works but lights stay on . When I reconnect the ground back onto the motor . Lights go out and motor turns on. . Possibly blew relays? It's a new motor . Stumped
Unplug the new motor from the wiring harness and use a jumper wire from the new motor to the battery. If the new motor won't run with direct battery voltage, it is faulty and should be returned to wherever you bought it for replacement. If it works with direct battery voltage then you may need to replace the heater relay.
A new motor will cost you 1000s . A used one will do if you are short on money. Places that sell used motors usually have a limited warranty on the motors they sell. They do a check up on the motor and refurbish it. they give you time to take it back in case it fails or anything else.
You'll need to buy a new motor and regulator. You can go used or new, it's up to you. The regulator will include the cable.
- Remove the interior door trim, - Disconnect the power cable from the window motor, - Remove the window bump-stops (one at the front, one back), - Remove the glass window from the regulator (two bolts), - Slide the glass window out of the top of the door, - Remove 3 nuts from the window motor, - Remove all window regulator bolts, - Slide the motor & regulator assembly out the top of the door.
- Mount your new motor to your new regulator, - Install the new motor & regulator assembly in the reverse order.
