There's no sensor, but sometimes it takes a while to get the air out of the fuel lines and get it primed again. You can do this without cranking it by turning the ignition switch on, wait 5 seconds, turn it off. Repeat a few times. There is one other potential issue. Sometimes if a fuel pump was getting ready to go out and you run it out of gas, it knocks the fuel pump out and it needs replaced. First try priming it with ignition switch, and if this doesn't work, you will want to look at your fuel pump.

How do I clear the codes for my1991 Oldsmobile 88 royal. I had to change the etc 41 sensor & the mass air sensor. Now I need to clear them and don't know how

disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes should do it on pre OBD cars that came about in '96. I've learned odd tricks such as turning the key three times or othters involving the trippometer to pull codes from various late model or post '96 OBD cars but know of no procedure for your '91

1989 olds cutlas, was running fine got home went to leave again and wouldn't start? Put gas in and still didn't start? Ran the gas out of line and now it wont run at all?

The crank position sensor sounds like it is going bad...especially if your Cutlass does occasionally restart after a few minutes of sitting...not an expensive repair...the part is about $35. Your OBDI diagnostics does not hold a code for this. Hope this helps.

Do a 1999 intrigue have a fuel safety switch, i ran out of gas and put more in it, now it will not start at all, i was wondering if there was a switch i could push

I've have never seen a GM vehicle with such a switch. Sometimes when you run out of gas and get air in the lines it will take extended cranking to finally get it started. How much gas have you put in it and how long have you tried cranking it for?

1992 oldsmobile cutlass, ran fine, except the clock stayed on all the time, and ran the battery down, then, I got a gas leak, and had to replace the gas tank, then, replace the fuel pump, now, it starts,...

3300? When it won't start have you checked it for spark. It might be a crank sensor. We need to determine if the reason it won't run is because of no spark or no fuel.

2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette ran out of gas,now it won't start HELP

Put the gas in the tank, let everything settle, turn key off, then back on to on position, but NOT start. Let the fuel relay engage the pump and draw some gas pressure. Give it a good minute and it'll start right up.
