Broken belt comes to mind? If the a/c squealed that ment it locked up. If it locked up? the belat cant turn it, Creating a burn out effect, Hence breaking the belt. Replace the A/c Pump and belt. You will be fine, Unless you overheat the engine from no belt turning the waterpump???

2003 HONDA ELEMENT DIES WHILE DRIVING

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Maybe the thieves or the repair shop damaged/loosened something. I would start the car and start wiggling/moving wires and connections to try to narrow down where the problem is. Start at the alternator connections, both at the alternator and where the thick wire connects, probably at the power distribution box but it may go straight to the battery; don't recall on that car.

Car started to loose power slowing down battery light came on and car eventually stopped. it will not start but tries to turn over

sounds like the alternator has quit charging,,try a jump start and check voltage at the battery after it starts (cables off)
(If it dies after the cables are unhooked ,the alt. is bad.)

I have a 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX V8. A few months ago when I put the car in park, the air conditioner and the battery amp guage quit working. I found a fuse that was bad and I replaced it and then the...

I'm betting it has something to do with the shift lock actuator or the harness to the actuator. I'm pretty sure it is located on the top of the steering column on your vehicle. The lower part of the dash will need to be removed and then the steering column lowered in order to gain access to it.

This vehicle does have an airbag and unless you experience with airbag systems I would not recommend tackling this yourself.

unplug the interlock. Replace the fuse. Start the vehicle. with your foot on the brake manually release the interlock with you hand and shift through the gears. If the fuse does not blow your on the right track. If the fuse does blow let me know and I'll get you some more info.

All,dash lights came on-gas,all,then power dies down,lights conitually go dim,car quits running,before this i heard a squealing noise,what is going on w/car

Could be a bad alternator diode and it wasn't keeping the battery fully charged, which could be indicated by dimming lights, loss of power, or completely quitting when voltage becomes too low to properly fire plugs.

The squealing could have been a locked up alternator (probably caused by a bad bearing) and the drive belt is slipping on the drive pulley, making the squeal.

Hope this is of some help.

My air conditioner on my 99 tahoe isn't blowing cold air. The air is cooler than the outside air. So I tested it with my guage. The gauge shows the needle in the correct place until the compressor cycles....

You Over charged the system, And when you do that it quits working, High pressue switch cuts out so you have to remove some and it's meant to get colder outside there is a knob or a slider bar with red and blue to blrnd inside air and out side air to get the desired temprature you want.

I have a 1999 Buick Regal LS with and air conditioner problem. The car died and had to be jumped started. Checked the battery, it needed to be changed. As soon as I did that, my dual control AC unit quit...

Make sure the battery produces enough power...I think minimum cold-start power for this car is 550 amps, although I would recommend more, especially if you added any performance stuff, especially amps, which would draw more power. Also, check your fuses and wiring.
