Remove the two screws at the bottom of the door panel, and remove the plug around the door lever and remove the screw. Now lift up on the door panel. it needs to come up about an inch before you can pull it off, you will need to pull the insert out around the lever and pull the lever to get the door panel to clear.

1999 Olds Aurora; Front passenger door won't open from inside or out. Feels/sounds like the lock mechanism is not catching. Can't get to the inside of the door to fix it if I can't open it to take the...

This may not be your answer but I had a similar issue a few years ago and had to have a body shop get into the door and replace the handle and linkage. Someone, a child, tried to open the door while locked. He was strong enough and/or handle weak enough that it broke. The door could be opened from the inside handle normally. Cost me about $180 for part, install and repaint to match.

Can somebody tell me how to replace the window regulator in a 2001 aurora

You might want to take it to a glass shop. You have to take off the inside door panel and find all the screws to do this. Then if it is the drivers door you have to remove any electric switches to remove this panel. Then remove old regulator from motor and put in the new parts. I usually use a piece of wood and a clamp to keep the glass from falling. A glass shop can do it within an hour and you don't have to chase parts.

Rear door panel removal

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
